K-pop powerhouse Blackpink transformed the National Stadium into a massive “pink ocean” on the night of November 28, kicking off the first of three sold-out shows for their Deadline world tour. Performing to a capacity crowd of 55,000, the quartet—Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa—delivered a 150-minute spectacle that served as both a musical marathon and a highly anticipated reunion.
This tour marks a significant return for the group following an unofficial hiatus after their 2023 Born Pink tour. In the interim, all four members launched successful solo albums—Rose’s Rosie, Jisoo’s Amortage, Lisa’s Alter Ego, and Jennie’s Ruby—making this collective comeback even more potent for their fanbase, known as Blinks.
High-Octane Performances and Solo Showcases
The night opened with high drama, featuring lasers and pyrotechnics as the group launched into their 2019 hit Kill This Love. The energy remained high through a run of crowd favorites including Pink Venom, How You Like That, and Shut Down.
The concert was structured into five acts, allowing each member to shine individually:
- Jisoo brought charm to the stage with performances of Hugs & Kisses and Earthquake.
- Lisa electrified the crowd with Thunder and Rockstar. She also attempted to connect with the local audience using Singlish, remarking, “Singapore is shiok,” though a lukewarm reaction led Rose to jokingly tease that the Singapore crowd was just “shy.”
- Jennie turned the stadium into a dance club atmosphere during Act Four with her high-energy track Like Jennie.
Rose Steals the Show: Chicken Rice and Lucky Fans
While every member had their moment, Rose provided some of the night’s most memorable unscripted highlights. Continuing her tour tradition of sampling local cuisine on stage, she appeared on a trapdoor lift casually enjoying a serving of Singapore’s iconic chicken rice using chopsticks.
Beyond the food, Rose showcased her vocal prowess with an acoustic rendition of Toxic Till The End. However, the peak of fan interaction occurred during her performance of Apt., when she invited a lucky female fan onto the stage. The two performed a “victory lap” together, sending the stadium into a frenzy.
The Fan Experience
Long before the doors opened at 5:00 PM, the area around the stadium was a runway of black and pink fashion. Fans from across the region gathered to celebrate the group.
- Rurusama, a 26-year-old Singaporean content creator attending her first Blackpink concert, cited the group as her primary fashion and beauty inspiration.
- Raymond Zhao, a 22-year-old from China, flew in for the show despite having already seen them twice in South Korea earlier this year.
- The Liaw Family, traveled from Malaysia with costumes tailor-made by mom Sandara Liaw (35). Her daughters, Sora (6) and Somi (4), were dressed in outfits replicating iconic looks from Jennie and Lisa’s music videos.
The group closed the night with their latest single Jump, followed by the anthems Boombayah and Ddu-du Ddu-du. The Deadline tour, which began in South Korea in July, will conclude its run in Hong Kong in January 2026.
